Community Involvement
GOT Cabaret Society, otherwise known as Girls On Top, formed as an official non-profit to utilize the talents of some of Vancouver’s best and brightest starlets to raise awareness about issues of violence against women and Vancouver’s infamous survival sex trade. As if that weren’t enough, these burly-q beauties are strictly volunteers! GOT Cabaret Society uses the net proceeds of all their events and fundraisers to provide bi-annual donations to three Vancouver charities; WAVAW, WISH, and PACE.
Girls On Top Risqué Cabaret began in early 2006. Two years later, it was officially registered as G.O.T. Cabaret Society, with a mission of empowerment, fundraising, awareness. The founder, Madam Mae I, has gathered together a group of passionate and sexy women who strive to provide high quality entertainment while raising awareness about issues affecting women’s sexuality.
Their shows, known for both amazing group numbers and jaw dropping solos, draw all kinds of people from all over the Lower Mainland. All the performers from Girls On Top are trained dancers and performers with a strong sense of community and courage to stand up for change.
Girls On Top has become a voice for sexual empowerment, spreading the message that those who have had their power taken away – through assault, abuse, or systematic oppression – deserve support and understanding so that they can take it back with pride. G.O.T. Cabaret Society has a core belief that there is no room for shame when it comes to sexuality
